Series of 16 unique works in various media, signed and dated

Nick Mauss’ diverse artistic practice encompasses drawing, sculpture and performance, and is characterised by a perpetual state of indeterminacy. Mauss thinks about drawing and painting in an expansive sense; his work is a premeditated confusion where definitive shapes and forms are overlooked in favour of ambiguous semblances.

For this series of editions, Mauss has taken a written text that he produced in 2007, over which he has drawn 16 unique sketches. The abstract sketches interplay with the text, creating space for semiotic ambiguity across the series.
