ICA is pleased to present this limited edition silkscreen print by Andrea Büttner; co-published by ICA and New Contemporaries, on the occasion of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2010, at the ICA (26 November 2010 – 23 January 2011).

Büttner typically explores notions of shame, poverty, vulnerability, and dignity, in a variety of media. Her work often makes reference to religious communities, drawing attention to the relationship between religion and art, and between religious communities and the art world.

Andrea Büttner (Born in Stuttgart in 1972) lives and works in London and Frankfurt. Major exhibitions include: Looking at…: Andrea Büttner, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Germany (2016); David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles, USA (2016); Beggars and IPhones, Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna, Austria (2016); and Andrea Büttner, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, USA (2015).
