London born, New York based artist Nick Relph works across video, drawing and installation. Beginning his career making pseudo-documentaries based on the works of Patrick Keiller with fellow artist Oliver Payne, in his solo practice Relph utilises the contemporary methodology of accumulating, cutting and pasting.

By manipulating his research materials in this way, Relph casts them as a source of both information and inspiration. Often, as with this edition, source materials and the processes applied to them are juxtaposed idiosyncratically. Through this, Relph conjures tentative suggestions of mendacious forces at play in the manufacture and circulation of consumer products, and our attachment to these items.
